How to clean the microwave oven from grease?

How to clean the microwave oven from grease?

The microwave oven has long been a familiar household item, without which it is difficult to do in the kitchen. However, you need to know how to properly care for it so that it lasts a long time.

Microwave Cleaning Methods

The microwave oven can be cleaned in the following ways:

  • Using citric acid (One tablespoon of citric acid +0.5 liter of water). Fill the dishes with this product and put in the microwave (at maximum power) for 3-5 minutes. After turning off the oven, wait 15 minutes, then wipe with a sponge.
  • Baking soda is suitable for medium soiling. One tablespoon should be mixed with 0.5 liter of water, which will dissolve dried splashes and dirt. Next, we proceed as in the method with citric acid.
  • Vinegar (in proportion two tablespoons of vinegar mixed with 2 glasses of water). Next, turn on the oven for 5-10 minutes and clean with a damp cloth.
  • For light to medium soiling, you can use a sponge dampened with dishwashing liquid, such as Fairy. We squeeze out a sponge with detergent, lather and start the microwave for 30 seconds.
  • An ordinary glass cleaner is also suitable for cleaning the microwave. All actions are performed with the oven turned off. Mix water and mortar in a ratio of 2:1 and wipe the inside of the oven with a sponge soaked in the solution.

  • Effective ways to remove grease stains

Depending on the type of contamination, greasy stains can be cleaned using either the above methods or using:

  • Orange peels, which should be placed in a container of water and put on the microwave turned on at full power. After turning off, wait half an hour and wipe the oven with a damp sponge.
  • Soapy solution will also help to cope with greasy stains. To do this, add one teaspoon of liquid soap to 100 ml of water and turn on the oven for 30 minutes.

  • Preventive Care

In order for the microwave oven to serve for a long time, it is necessary to carry out its regular cleaning.

  • Immediately after cooking, wipe off stains and drips formed on the oven.
  • The oven chamber should be cleaned after every use.
  • Thoroughly clean the oven every 7 days with detergent.
  • When using a microwave oven, use a special plastic cap (protects the oven from splashes).
